Cactus

Barbara's birthstate is Arizona.  The beautiful Arizona Sonoran Desert offers many, many opportunities to photograph the spiny lives of cacti.  Barbara supports and has long been a member of the Phoenix Botanical Gardens where desert life and cacti from all over the world are displayed and cared for.  Barbara's favorite:  the Saguaro Cactus of course.  These regal and sentient beings are protected in Arizona and are rarely found growing above 3500-feet.  A Saguaro cactus does not begin to grow her first arm until about age 75.
